We're so glad you are here or planning to visit! Chapin is just off I-26 in the heart of the Dutch Fork area, which traces its lineage to early German settlers.
The town, more than 100 years old, grew up around the CSX railroad in the northwest corner of Lexington County. Bounded by Richland County on one side, Newberry County on the other, and Lake Murray to the south, it is situated so that all roads from the lake's northern shores lead to Chapin. Its all here!
The friendly atmosphere of a small town and rural community, the boundless recreational opportunities of beautiful Lake Murray, some of the finest schools in South Carolina, outstanding parks and recreational facilities, and all within a few miles of Columbia, the state's capital city. Welcome to our community!

Check out the Calendar for the latest upcoming events. If you would like to have something added to the calendar give us a call at 345-1100 or email laura@chapinchamber.com.
